Each year, Laurens Electric Cooperative partners with Chambers of Commerce across the Upstate to sponsor community festivals. This year, the co-op is working with the organizers of two annual events.
Simpsonville’s Labor Day Fun Festival, held at Simpsonville’s City Park is scheduled for September 2, 3, and 4. Carnival rides will be available, craft and food vendors will display their wares, and local bands will provide entertainment.
Mauldin City’s Mauldinfest, held annually in September, was first celebrated in 1990 to mark Mauldin’s 100th anniversary. This year’s festival is scheduled for September 23 and 24 at the area’s Sunset Park. Mauldinfest features a classic car show, bands, adult and children’s rides, food and craft vendors, a sky-full of hot air balloons, and more.
