Payment Arrangements
Laurens Electric Cooperative offers payment arrangements
to members to ensure they have ample time to pay their
bills. We understand everyone needs some additional
time to pay every once in a while.
When making an arrangement, it is very important that
you understand once it is made it can not be extended.
If you do not honor a payment arrangement, your account
will be disconnected and you will be charged a $ 100.00
reconnect fee. Also, the total bill amount will become
due in addition to the reconnect fee.
An electric utility, unlike most companies, bills after
the service has been used. Most companies bill in advance
for services rendered. When we grant an arrangement
on an account, we have extended the due date past the
disconnect date. This means you will be paying for service
used over a month prior to payment. That is why it is
important to make sure payment can be made on the date
you agree to pay.
A Member Services Representative can go over your account
with you to determine what type of payment arrangements
can be made and to make sure you completely understand
