Shout out to Boiling Springs High School's Emma Anderson. She represented Laurens Electric during Washington Youth Tour last summer as a high school junior, when her peers elected her as their Youth Leadership Council delegate for South Carolina. This 45-person delegation is composed of one delegate from each state with an electric cooperative or public power district.![]()

This week she joined other students on the national stage at the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association’s PowerXchange conference. ![]()

Her journey has included carefully curated educational curriculum designed to build leadership and public speaking skills and enhance knowledge of the energy industry and the cooperative business model.![]()
