We want to exceed your expectations
YOUR BOARD OF TRUSTEES and I want to thank you for being a part of our second ever drive-through and virtual Annual Meeting.
Your participation is a cornerstone of the co-op business model. It’s how your voice is heard. Many of the 4,481 who registered and voted at our main office in Laurens June 4–5 and watched the business session online let us know they like this new way of conducting our annual meetings.
The satisfaction of our members is always first and foremost at Laurens Electric so we will continue to provide this option in the future.
You re-elected Willie Belle Blakely of District 5 and Eddie Abrams of District 6 to represent you on the Board of Trustees. You also elected Reid Fisher to succeed F.E. Hendrix in District 8. After 29 years of service, we will miss Mr. Hendrix’s leadership, but we are excited to welcome Mr. Fisher.
I’m also happy to report that we expect our rates to remain stable for the next few years.
So much has changed in the past year or so, but the strength and stability of your cooperative remains unchanged. We have never compromised on our commitment to you and providing the highest level of service.
I’m proud of the way our employees have navigated the changes of the past year and I want to thank them for their dedication. We don’t know what normal will look like going forward, but exceeding your expectations is always our main goal.
When all is said and done, I believe we will emerge from this challenge stronger than ever before.
